FirstFlash! Line has been printing EventTape® (plastic roll banner) and Flashbags (plastic die-cut handle bags) since 1993 on type 4 recyclable plastic. We chose plastic because it’s strong, durable, lightweight and inexpensive. We also use environmentally friendly water based inks on these products because these inks do not require special handling or disposal like solvent based inks.

In recent years it has become a concern of governments and other organizations that plastic can last too long in our environment when not recycled properly. The very things that make plastic ideal for our products can be a problem when disposal is required. FirstFlash! Line now offers a solution. An additive is being introduced to our plastic during the extrusion process that allows our EventTape® and Flashbags to be 100% biodegradable and 100% recyclable. Our biodegradable plastic does not require special packaging or storage and under proper circumstances will begin to degrade in a landfill in 8-10 months.

At FirstFlash! Line we advocate recycling as the best method for disposal of our products, but degradability adds a level of protection against the accumulation of plastic waste in our environment.

By reducing and recycling our scrap, printing with water based inks and providing biodegradable plastic, FirstFlash! Line is providing great promotional products with a reduced threat to our environment.
